Press and Cultural Officer

The Royal Netherlands Embassy is looking for a new Press and Cultural officer. The job will be for 24-32 hours a week, and you will be working in a team with a Dutch colleague. Requested is large affinity with the cultural field, knowledge of Slovak politics and societal transition, excellent communicative skills in view of contacts with the press. An outgoing personnality with good networking skills. The job will also entail attending activities that take place outside of working hours.

The Embassy is a small organisation. When one department is organising an event, everyone helps out to make it a success. This means we are looking for team workers. As you will operate in an international environment, full command of English and Slovak languages is necessary. Knowledge of Dutch is highly welcomed.

You will be responsible for:

-          selecting and following up cultural projects and projects concerning transition in society.

-          Help organise various Embassy events

-          Following the press and informing colleagues on Slovak news.

-          Maintain your own network

-          Occasionally assist in interpreting and translating.
