On Tuesday, 1 December 2009 the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Bratislava in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Netherlands and EVD agency, organise a seminar with a theme: “Energia po Holandsky”.

The seminar will take place in hotel Falkensteiner in Bratislava at 12.30 hrs.

When pronouncing the word ‘the Netherlands’ perhaps the minds of all of us unfold the image of the windmills. Of course the Netherlands are well known by the thoughtful use of the wind and water as energy source.

At present this historical experience translates into the most modern technologies and applications in the area of natural renewable sources of energy. The research and technology basis offers the potential of effective and wise approach to energy use in all areas.

The aim of the seminar is to introduce to Slovak business and R&D public, state administration, representatives of relevant institutions and a wider public the Dutch approach to alternative energy sources and their way of most efficient energy use.

Speakers will be recognised experts from the Netherlands and Slovakia:

1. Drs. Ernst J. Vuyk, Vice-chairman of the ODE
2. Drs. Rob Kool, manager for energy and climate cooperation of SenterNovem
3. Dr. Kvetoslava Šoltesová, director of legislation and strategy department of SIEA
