How to apply for a subsidy (KNIP)Small Embassy Nature Projects (KNIP)
Small, local initiatives in the field of biodiversity conservation could qualify for the so-called MATRA-KNIP programme. This programme is comparable to the MATRA-KAP programme, but its scope is more limited. The project should fit in the KNIP-project objectives.

The programme does not sponsor:
- fixed salary costs or other fixed costs;
- international travel expenses and/or commercial activities;
- projects which are repeating former projects or are already in execution.
Also the central government, with the exception of public bodies like e.g. research institutes, can not be sponsored. The annual budget for this programme is small. Projects are dealt with on a first come first serve basis. An organization can receive a grant only once every three years.
